There is no doubt that dry skin is an unpleasant condition. No one wants to deal with flakes, itching and dull skin. But how do you know if your skin is just dry or if there is something more?

Dry skin and dehydrated skin are very different although they both have the same feeling – just dry. In fact, dehydrated skin is a skin condition, while dry skin is a type of skin that you will probably have during your lifetime. If you shake your head in confusion, do not worry! Let us clarify things for you!

Dry skin:
Dry skin is rough skin, which is not elastic and smooth and many times we see small “scales” on its surface, as if peeling. We have the feeling that it pulls us and often itching occurs. Do you feel dry all over your body, including your arms, scalp and legs? Are moisturizers and lotions absorbed fast enough? If you answered yes, then you probably have dry skin. Dry skin has fewer oil glands, which also means a lack of protection against environmental attacks.

It can also mean acceleration of the signs of aging and overall dull skin. For the treatment of dry skin, we recommend moisturizing products rich in lipids, which act as a strong barrier that prevents moisture loss and irritation. Also, look for ingredients such as moisturizing oils to replenish, restore and add shine without clogging the pores and causing imbalance.

Dehydrated skin:
This skin condition is due to thirsty skin that is in dire need of moisture. While dry skin is more superficial and can be treated with the right products, dehydrated skin is a bit more complicated. This skin condition is characterized by red, inflamed skin. with dilated pores and blackheads. Many people do not realize that they can really suffer from oily and dehydrated skin at the same time.

Remember, dry skin has no oil, while dehydrated skin simply lacks water.
